One of the latest ways to personalize your cell phone is to have an individual ringtone. They are so simple to download, it's not surprising some people have hundreds on their phone. This is just another way of saying "this phone is unique and it differs from yours". Many of these ringtones are quite amusing and it is becoming easier every day to get them installed on your cell phone.
Because people enjoy playing around with different sounds and swapping them, the ringtone converter was devised. These converters also help in transferring tones from other computers and downloading from internet sites.
To ensure no one misses out, the ringtone converters can be used with cell phones from virtually any manufacturer. If you're unfortunate enough to have a basic model you may find you are still able to create sound files with the phone's own software. Over time, cable connections and even wireless free infrared are becoming obsolete, with newer ringtone converters using other methods to transfer files between phones.
Of course the only way your sound will truly be individual is if you create it yourself with a built in cell phone composer. Creating your own ringtone and then changing it to suit your mood is the ultimate in personalization. The latest software also has this capability so there is no need to worry about creating a ringtone if it doesn't have a composer.
Sounds that can be used on cell phones are also available at an ever increasing number of websites which now cater to the almost insatiable desire for this new craze. Some websites use SMS formatting where you can download ringtones using a converter, but there are those that merely require the downloading capacity of your phone and nothing more.
Monophonic or polyphonic sounds are now easy to obtain, whether from the huge variety of internet sites that cater to this or by creating your own unique sound - you have many options available to you. Just remember before you run off to do any of this, make sure that your phone supports the software it needs to create ringtones and then use the correct programs if you want to ensure that there aren't any compatibility problems.

People love having ringtones on their cell phones and what can be better than getting them free. You would have heard that you can get free ringtones but many of the websites that offer this tell you only half the story. They do not tell you what they expect from you in return for the free ringtones. However, there is a way to download Motorola ringtones for free with no catch.
If you are the owner of a Motorola cell phone then you can get your free ringtone for free on the internet. Motorola provides this facility on their website itself, but only offers one ringtone. But then you are assured that it does not expect anything from you and there will be no legal issues.
Motorola does not expect you to sign up for a membership of any type. They have several ringtones to choose from. You will first have to select the ringtone of your choice from the hundreds available on the Motorola site. Since everything is well laid out and categorized, it is very easy sifting through the whole lot before selecting.
The next step you have to go through is selecting the format that is compatible with your cell phone. Motorola offers five different formats to choose from. There may be cell phones that you cannot download a Motorola ringtone onto. As long as your phone is bought anywhere after 2001, you should not have a problem as most of the phones are made compatible for all formats. However, if it is older, then you may first want to check that aspect first.
After choosing the song you want and identified the format, you can then proceed to download the free no-strings attached ringtone from the Motorola website. Although, there are several other places where you get free ringtones, almost all of them expect you to sign up or something else and they may also not be legal, so that is surely not something you want to get into. |
